Nord stage 4 resistance

Post by eliwwjd »

Good morning guys

As you know im totally new to this forum and to a nord stage instrument so im basically learning
from the instrument.
I have a basic question, how tough is the nord stage to impact without getting damaged?
The reason of my question is because last night i had my instrument setup basically in my room under the wall lamp and my wife tried to hang up 2 jeans in a cloths hook on the lamp but unfortunately the 2 jeans with its hooks fell on top of the middle of keyboard and then fell to the floor, were talking about 2 pounds of weight. I was so upset and worried about internal damage. I don’t want to sound picky but just want to know to what extent i should worry. Remember im just learning about this gear which is new to me in every aspect. Thanks in advance for the help

One of the things many of us like about the Nords is their sturdier-than-average build. I've inadvertently subject several of mine to some serious abuse. Other than having to replace a few physically broken keys after being dropped on edge, there have been zero problems.

So -- you're fine. They're not delicate like that.
I think I have gear issues ....

Thank you my friend! i was preocupied that something might of happen to the instrument in functionality and sound wise. This instrument is definately different than past instruments ive had. Its incredible than how sturdy this keyboard can be. Wow! how can clavia build such instrument having so much electronics and at the same time be sturdy. How do they accomplish this? simply wow!
