Key issue and warranty

I just received my Nord stage 4 from Musicians friend on Friday. I did buy an open box and when I received it, it looked like a forklift damaged to box. Well I set it up and noticed there was a small dent in the red aluminum. I also noticed when playing it that 7 keys were very noisy clicking when playing. Is this a warranty issue that I can have repaired by a service center or is this something that I should send back to musicians friend due to a warehouse issue. My rep at musicians friend said I should wait to hear back from Nord on the warranty. Since this is an open box, am I entitled to a new one.

In your situation I would have rejected the box at receival, now having accepted it and opened it yourself gives Musicians Friend the possibility to say that you may have caused the damage (e.g. dropping the keyboard after opening the box) and this is why they now want Nord to state if this is something covered by warranty or not.

Unless you have any evidence (picture) of the box damage at arrival (before opening it and with the courier nearby, so they cannot still claim it is something you did), I see it difficult now to go back to them.

I have 45 days to send it back, no questions asked, so If worse comes to worse then I can just do that I imagine. I've had things with a damaged box that worked fine in the pas, so it was worth a chance.

Send it back immediately if you have the 45 days return right …
