Nord Electro 6D Midi loss

Hello,
I just bought a NE6D and my surprise is that there is a loss in midi functions, only one midi global channel can be used,
NE5D let you have two channels when split, but in NE6D this function has dissapeared.
Does anyone know if there is an alternative or any trick to enable it?
If it is a hardware limitation, it seems like a serious error to me.
Adding functions is always positive, removing them seems like a mistake on such an expensive and overrated keyboard

I don't see a trick inside the box, only outside.
And I'd like to quote a sentence from @analogika's signature:
"The Nord giveth; the Nord taketh away…"
This happens all the time, often concerning MIDI, even in the Stage product line.
I have no idea where this behaviour comes from: capacities of the chips, capacity of the developpers?

Sorry but... if it is "expensive and overrated", why did you buy it? And even if it was maybe just "expensive", wouldn't it be worth checking its specs and manual before investing in so much money, rather than taking the risk of being "surprised" after (unless you have a return policy to keep you on the safe side)?
This can happen also with other brands, for example when Yamaha issued Montage as a replacement of Motif XF it added many features, but also took out some (e.g. the sequencer), so it is always recommended to check any new model in detail before buying because it is not necessarily just adding stuff to it.

You are absolutely right, only expensive I wanted to say.
I took an offer to save some money and assumed that the features of the 5 would be maintained...

I was looking for a Nord and it was the only option for me, even if I had looked for a 5... it is not in stock and rarely second-hand.
I'm going to see if from the receiving side with the fantom 07 I can manage splits with one midi input channel.

Sorry, I misunderstood your post. You won't be able to address 2 sound engines on the Nord from outside independently. The only option the NE6 has is Ext-KB-to-low - which means that you can play the sound(s) assigned to the lower part of a split setting. Maybe even not multiple engines at the same time.
Maybe a NE6 owner can confirm.
A NE6 is really not intended to be used as a sound module, it's a gigging machine. Sorry.

I want to control two midi zones of my fantom using nord as a controller. My goal was to have the "gigging machine" as a versatile keyboard for my sets.

Yes I understand your target and I am sorry you didn't catch that the relevant NE5 feature for that (KB Split Mode) was removed from NE6, for reasons we cannot know, we can just speculate about them... my recommendation to always double check manuals/specs/reviews is something I apply to myself first, because many of today's keyboards are complex enough that you cannot just trust the name or generic advertising...
As Fziegler suggested, you can still do that with the NE6, but you need to use some external MIDI Processing (an app on a computer/tablet or a dedicated box)

Fortunately, from the Fantom you can split from the same input MIDI channel as long as the "remote keyboard switch" option is activated.
I had gone into panic mode
... but now I will be able to use the keyboard with the two sets I wanted and make it versatile for me!
Thanks for the advice!

Mmh. On the one hand, there are a lot of professional tools that help you sort out a lot of MIDI issues with a little box connected in-between. Or a lot of multitimbral boards have their tools built-in. On the other hand: What makes Nord instruments strong is including stomp boxes for effects into the instrument, so you can go on stage with little odds and ends. Hard to understand why this is not the case with MIDI functions - it is not always possible to cover everything with one board, I even experience the contrary.
