Piano envelope
Does anyone know of a way on the NS4 to adjust piano envelopes? Maybe there's something I'm missing but I haven't found a way to adjust the release other than using a foot pedal, which I'm very thankful is able to be set per layer. I'm wanting to add a slight tail to a few of the pianos. I guess I could resample them? But at that I'm not sure user samples can be uploaded to the piano section either.

Re: Piano envelope
You might want to try SOFT RELEASE. From the manual, "Activating SOFT RELEASE will add a slightly longer and less pronounced release to acoustic piano sounds, equivalent to what happens when you adjust the damper tension on an acoustic instrument. The added release is individual for every note and responds dynamically to the force with which you play. Electric Piano sounds instead have their release sound dampened significantly."
Regarding samples, you can't add user samples to the Piano section, but you could try adding one to the synth with a longer release time. Some use Reverb as well to add a little more presence to notes released. Good luck!

Re: Piano envelope
follow the synth concept mentioned above and consider the DIGITAL WAVE > CAT KEYS > WAVE Type 7 > AcPiano

Re: Piano envelope
I'd say the piano engines on a Nord are less flexible, but you always have the possibility to activate a piano sample on the synth section to manipulate the filter or envelope. But in this case, you need to use a piano sound from the synth sample library, of course. Neither sample fits in the engine of the other type.
