QSC K series settings for Keyboard (Key Largo)

Hi! I was looking for guidance on the optimal QSC settings in the following scenario:
  • Gear: Nord Electro 5, Radial Key Largo, and a pair of QSC K10.2's
  • Go-to sounds: "White Grand" Piano, "EP9 Stockholm" Rhodes, Wurli 2, B3 Organ
  • Common Effects: Pan, Rotary, Delay (pingpong)
I don't know if I should set my QSC (Channel B) settings to Hi-Z or Line. Also, should I use the Stage Monitor 2 preset? Any other advice?

Default settings work great if you're using them on poles, e.g. flat response, line input level. Use a small mixer (like your Radial unit) to ensure you're supplying the proper levels. Not sure about the NE5, but other Nord models can be "light" on levels.

The QSC K10.2s have a pronounced midrange that can make your APs and EPs sound murky. I would use the EQ section with a midrange -6dB scoop at around 400 Hz, and maybe +3dB on the treble control.

The "monitor" presets reduce bass coupling if you're putting them on a stage floor or similar. Other than that, they're great!

Thank you so much for this! I'll set my channels to Line Input, use the default preset and adjust the EQ with a midrange -6dB scoop at 400 Hz and +3dB on the treble.

I can lower the HIGH dB but how do I raise it?

Sorry, the speaker should be set flat. The Nord keyboard's equalization should be adjusted :)
