New Bosie Grand
What do think of the new Bosie grand? Does it change your life? I thought Lady D did until I played it. I don't know, Lady D for Chopin and ambient. Bosie for ascension?

Re: New Bosie Grand
I think the Bosie sample (in XL size) is the best piano sample ever done in a hardware DP. It's absolutely wonderful. I use for all kinds of music, particularly jazz. I totally agree on the Grand Lady D. I started playing Chopin, actually Waltz #6 in Db, and chose the Grand Lady D. It compliments the music well. Back on topic, I love the Bosendorfer sample. It's just a beast, especially in the low end. There's so much clarity down in the low end that you never hear on other sampled pianos. Kudos Nord!

Re: New Bosie Grand
Hi, my nord piano 88 just arrive.
And I'm very happy with it.
Hi pianozac, you mention the XL version of Bosendorfer, did you mean LRG version?
Cause I can't find any XL sample except the New Imperial Grand.
Did I do wrong or there is a Bosendorfer XL?
Excuse my english.

Kharismata,
No prob on the English...heck I'm American and my English stinks! :) Anyway, make sure your NP88 is currently up to date with latest OS update - v1.28, then on the Nord website, download the Bosendorfer Imperial sample-Grand Imperial in XL size. ***BEWARE*** you will have to delete some sounds on your NP88 to make room for the 196.8MB download of the XL size Grand Imperial sample.

Re: New Bosie Grand
Hi Pianozac, thanks for fast reply and the input.
Imperial Grand is awesome, but I found the notes between C5 and C6 a bit thin for soloing.
but the rest notes are great. Do you experiencing this too? Below C5 and above C6 are thick and fuller.
And also I'd love the Studio 1 Yamaha C7 more than Studio 2.

Re: New Bosie Grand
Actually I find Lady D to sound better for some of the things I play... For some reason, it sounds livelier than the Bosie..

Re: New Bosie Grand
kharismnata,
Yeah the Bosie has some notes I'm not too fond of, but by in large the Bosie sounds terrific, and just so big! I'd have to say though, overall, the Yamaha C7 Studio Grand 2 is the most versatile piano in the NP library. It's great for jazz, classical, pop, whatever.
Cee:
I agree with you to an extent. I've been polishing up my classical chops lately, and feel the Grand Lady works so well for classical, particularly for the Chopin stuff. I'm really digging the nice warm woody tone to the bass and upper registers on the Grand Lady.
