connect external sound model to my Stage EX

Hello,
Does somebody have experience to connect a sound model to the Nord Stage EX.
My problem is that on panel A the assignment of the sound model to the keyboard split is not working.
For panel B it does - no problem.
The midi setting for A and B are equal.
I'm looking forward to all your suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
Ton.

sure about this? what are your midi settings like then?
provided that the external section is activated in both panel A and panel B you should have it working...
please report your settings made in MIDI MENU and EXTERN MENU for further help.

I use all the time my NS hooked up to my DSI Mopho. Admittedly, configuring MIDI aint as easy as some think or say.
You have to be sure and check that you are sending MIDI data on the same channel that the module is receiving.
Just try surfing through all external and midi menus, you´ll catch up eventually. It is not easy but its not the hardest thing either. I remember the first time I wanted to hook up both my DSI mopho and the MS2000BR I had a bad time, but I found more helpful to experiment myself moving everything around than just looking for answers. Who knows, mayb you´ll find out you can do stuff you did not know you could... like controlling parameters with the panels, and stuff...

yo Gus!
no offense man, i actually agree with you. experimenting is a great way of learning!
but if you don't know what parameters doing this and that, the experimenting phase is a waste of time. you got to have some basic skills to understand MIDI.
so when our friends here posts questions we have to help them find answers and not pointing them into trial and error. :-)
midi-ing is a bit tricky. strange behavior may be due to both the master and the slave. if we get to see Ton's settings in MIDI MENU and EXTERN MENU, we can help him trace what's wrong in his setup...
i remember my first meeting with midi. i just stared at my gear (my Yamaha DX11 was about to be connected to my Korg O1W). i had absolutely no idea how to accomplish this, so i called a friend and he came over and solved my problem (this was on the stone age, before internet forums and support). by the time i wasn't really interested in what he did, as long as he got it to work. but then on one gig i mixed up MIDI OUT and MIDI IN. result? no sound of course! hehehe... after that i realized i had to learn a little bit about MIDI if i was going to work with it. :-)
