Looking for Massive Attack style synths

I've had a good look through the synth sample library, but I have yet to find any. I'm thinking of the incredible pad sounds in Angel and Teardrop, the awesome leads in Mezzanine and Risingson, for instance. I know some of their work is sampled from other tracks, but I believe that these sounds come a synth of some sort. Anyone have any idea, or even cooler, a sample to use?
These are sounds I'm referring to:

(Angel, 1:56 neat ethereal sound)
(Teardrop, 0:44 same deal)
(Mezzanine, 0:00 throbbing kind of noise)
(Risingson, 2:30 two cool sounds here)
