Expression pedal for rotary speed?
I just purchased a Yamaha FC7 pedal, I've never used anything but a sustain up till now. I would like to use it to control the organ rotary speed. I plugged it in to the rotary/latch input but it didn't do anything. What else am I supposed to do to have it control the speed? Thanks.

Depends what you mean by "control the speed". Do you just want to switch speeds between Fast and Slow, or do you want use the pedal to actually set any speed you like by manually adjusting the pedal position?

so, yes I'd like to be able to set any speed, slow, med, fast or somewhere in between....If that's possible. I'm very new at this.

Yes you can do. It is not documented, but you do it the same way as assigning other morphings. Instead of moving a dial, you start with the leslie at slow speed, set the position up of the pedall at low speed, then assign morphing to the ctrl pedal, put the pedal down and press the fast key.

What Mr_-G- says and to clarify, you have to plug the pedal into the Ctrl/Control port instead of the rotary/latch port.Mr_-G- wrote:Yes you can do. And also set the CTRL pedal to CTRL only otherwise you will be doing swell or volume as well.

Re: Expression pedal for rotary speed?
Hey folks - I’m trying to do the same thing on my electro 6 but haven’t gotten it to work. Any tips are appreciated!
I have the Yamaha FC7 pedal plugged into the control port. How do I tell the Nord what I want it to morph? It’s currently set to control volume/gain.
I do have the right pedal selected in system settings.
Thanks all!
Robert

Re: Expression pedal for rotary speed?
On your Electro 6, you have a rotor pedal jack to connect a switch pedal. If it's a 6D, you can also connect a half moon switch to switch between off-slow-fast. You'll find anything you need in the manual (p. 22, 27, 30). But there is no morphing on the Electros.
