Sound Manager / Nord Stage 4 / Connection

Sound Manager / Nord Stage 4
I work with a Mac Studio. The Nord Stage 4 and the MAC are approx. 5 meters apart. I'm currently using a long USB cable. How can I connect the Stage 4 to the MAC without annoying cables?

Hi,
I'm a beginner. Nord Stage 4, Os version 1.44, Sound Manager 9.02.
I down loaded a sound into the Piano section.
I want to load the sound into the Piano Preset.
It doesn't work.
How do I load the sound into Piano Preset?

Download the desired sound on your computer --> Connect the NS4 to a computer, and open Nord Sound Manager --> drag the desired sample/sound to a location (if it is a piano sample, then drag it into the piano section).

The new piano-sample is now available among all the others pianos that is already stored in the piano-memory.
You will have to scroll to the desired sample, and select it.

The new piano-sample is now available among all the others pianos that is already stored in the piano-memory.
You will have to scroll to the desired sample, and select it.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I followed your instructions and I see the sound ‘Black Upright Med 6.1.npno in the “Piano” section but not in the “Piano PRESET” section. Drag and drop from „Piano „to Piano Preset does not work.
Down load from computer to ‘Piano Preset’ does not work either.
How do I get the sound into ‘Piano Preset’?

A Piano (layer) Preset is a different thing than a Piano sample, Preset includes all Layer settings and you have to create presets/programs using that sample; I suggest you to invest some time to study your NS4 manual very carefully, to understand its structure and terminology, rather than doing things by attempts. Or search for some NS4 tutorials on the Tube
