So I'm the happy owner of a Nord Stage 3, and now recently a Nord Wave 2! Using them together is an absolute treat, however I'm now building complex patches using the 5-pin MIDI and the NS3 Extern Section to help me create complex pads on the Wave, but trigger it from the Stage (endless hours of fun!)
However I've reached a stage where it would be super handy to be able to have the master clock of both keyboards in sync with each other so I can have delays and filters in time with each other. From what I can see, the NS3 doesn't let me "export" the master clock, and struggling to find a way to have them communicate to each other. Not sure if there's a way to "send" the clock data from the NW2 to the NS3 or vise-versa, but any help on this would be great.
If the boards don't allow me to do that, I assume the best idea would be to both clock from another clock source (Ableton or another keyboard ect.), but obviously would be great to do it all between the two boards.

As you wrote, the 2 boards do not transmit their MIDI Clock, they can only receive it, so you need an external source (no other option available if you want a perfect Sync, otherwise you can just set their Clocks to the same BPMs but you have no guarantee they will be in phase)

I use an iPad and the AUM app to generate a master clock that everything syncs to. You could do it with an iPhone too. I’ve got it set up to where one of the external sections sends a program change when I load a patch, and that program change sets the tempo in AUM. I also have the middle pedal of my triple pedal setup as start/stop for the click. So, I change patches and the tempo is set and everything syncs to it, and I can turn the click off between songs or if the drummer gets off. It’s really great!

Woah that's super neat! A nice and clean way of doing it, will for sure check that out, cheers!
