Nord Stage Ex piano problem

Post by HfromEG »

My Nord stage EX has been behaving strangely lately, the piano module is not working at all even after restarting the files, I get a squeaky sound like electrical interference sound in any piano sound.
Diagnostic returned flash error.

Hello and welcome to NUF. :-)

unfortunately a Flash (memory) error like that indicates a likely hardware failure, that has to be repaired by official service (if repairable); you may attempt to open it and clean the mainboard using a can of compressed air, just in case the failure is due to dust creating some contact (difficult this is the reason, but worth trying)

Does changing the piano flash memory solve this issue?
The four flash memories or better to opt for replacing the mainboard?

replacing the main board is the brute force method of fixing the problem, but may unfortunately be the only option unless you have somebody that can do SMT solder work and has access to the Flash Memory chips.
