Multi-Channel Sustain & Pedal MIDI on NS4: Is It Possible?
Would it be possible to transmit Sustain and Control Pedal MIDI messages on channels other than just the Global channel in the NS4?

Yes, using the Extern mode of Synth section, but each will subtract 1 Synth layer (read NS4 manual, Extern chapter...)

It is not a great solution by Nord. Having the EXTERN channel used for no real purpose is one thing, but without a split point set, the whole keyboard also transmits to the external synth. In my opinion there should be an option in the extern menu to transmit sustain pedal information to each device: Always / When Active Layer / Never - selected per program.

Something you can easily do on NS3 and NS2, in terms of MIDI implementation unfortunately the NS4 is a step back (particularly regarding Extern and the bugs on Aux/DualKB)Heatha05 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2025, 20:30 It is not a great solution by Nord.
