NS3 triggering double MIDI notes

Hi all,

For each time I press and release a note on My NS3, it is sending 2 Note On midi messages, and 2 Note Off messages. My DAW is Logic 11.1.2 in a Mac Sonoma enviro, and these double messages are recorded in Logic as one note on top of the other, beginning and ending at precisely the same time (since they reflect the duration of the note press on the NS3 keybed.) Any ideas how to turn off the second note?

I don’t have a USB cable connected, nor do I have a MIDI IN cable. The only cable is MIDI OUT, going to a MOTU midi express, which passes data to the computer via usb. It has worked perfectly with other keyboards, and works correctly from the midi out of my Hammond XK5.

I have a little app called MIDI Monitor, it logs each midi event passing into and out of the Sonoma OS. This app confirms that 2 notes are triggering for each key press. It’s clear that the double triggering is coming from the NS3.

Any ideas how to turn it off?

check to make sure your not sending events on both the global channel and a 2nd MIDI channel.
