NS3: Enable strings slow decay when turning synth off

Post by Yochaytzur »

Hi
A feature I had in any gear before the NS3 and I can not reproduce with the Nord: Playing piano and strings or pads together, turning off the synth results in an immediate stop of the strings. I would like to let them decay slowly, holding the last played notes. Think of a chord being played and strings coming in an out.
This can be done with the synth volume knob but then one hand is busy...
Thank you.

One Workaround:

Duplicate the program, but with strings switched off. Seamless transition will let the string decay overhang when you switch.

Morphing the string level to a control pedal will allow you to fade out the strings if you're holding a chord. I hope that helps, cheers!

Do you have an expression pedal?
If so, morph the Synth Volume with Expr. Pedal - so you have your hands free ;)
That's what I do all the time esp. with Organ and Synth (Pads)
